TG Manufacturing acquires contract manufacturing firm TurnKey
- TurnKey presently supplies a varied group of consumers in the industrial laboratory, defense and gaming industries among others.

TG Manufacturing, a diverse, fully-integrated metals manufacturing firm based in Western Michigan and a subsidiary of Tiger Industrial Systems, reportedly announced the acquisition of TurnKey Fabrication, a certified contract manufactures that provides engineering and sheet metal fabrication services.
TurnKey Fabrication is based in Grand Rapids and operates with laser, CNC brake press, machining, auto feed laser, welding and assembly process capability. The company is headquartered in and operates out of a 55,000 sq. ft. facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. TurnKey presently supplies a varied group of consumers in the industrial laboratory, defense and gaming industries among others.
Rich Achtenberg, Chief Executive Officer of TG Manufacturing stated that TG Manufacturing will continue the operations currently run by TurnKey Fabrication. Additionally, TurnKey will become a Craft Steel operations division of TGM in Byron Center.
Rich added that TurnKey will help the company in expanding both markets and capacity of the company’s metal fabrication division. The synergies created by Craft Steel-TurnKey integration will enable TG Manufacturing to achieve a more rapid and responsive turnaround to address customer demands. Achtenberg further stated that the company’s continued drive towards vertical process integration is enhanced greatly through TurnKey’s acquisition.
Les Onan, CEO at TurnKey Fabrication stated that this acquisition supports the expansion of TG Manufacturing and further expands the process capabilities for both the companies. Les further added that TurnKey Fabrication will be focusing on its assembly and integration of electrical gaming products while its fabrication will be outsourced to TG Manufacturing.
Neither TG Manufacturing, not TurnKey Fabrication have unveiled any financial terms pertaining to the proposed acquisition of TurnKey yet.
