Rincon partners with Vecima to expand affordable remote PHY DAA

Vecima Networks Inc., the Canada based global leader in integrated hardware and software solutions development, recently announced a partnership with Rincon Technology, a telecommunications products provider based in California, USA. Through the partnership the Distributed Access Architecture and Video products of Vecima would be combined with Rincons professional services to increase global reach and optical expertise. According to sources, the partnership will help in providing innovative and inexpensive remote PHY platform to operators aiding more cost-effective and robust DAAs (Distributed Access Architectures).

Clay McCreery, Chief Revenue Officer at Vecima, has been reported to say that the DAA node developed by the company is among the most interoperable in the industry. Vecima’s platform allows operators to deploy in a multi-vendor environment while streamlining operations with superior monitoring systems and tools. He added that Vecima continues to innovate Commercial Video and Hospitality products which have so far generated billions of dollars of revenue for its customers.

According to experts, the range of optical solutions of Rincon is known to drive down maintenance, operating expenses and warranty. Coupling it with the flexible remote PHY and MAC-PHY technology of Vecima will mean that operators will be able to fulfill all traditional and forward-looking data requirements with a single source.

Michael Bartling, EVP of Sales at Rincon has been reported to say that Rincon associates with edge OEMs to present groundbreaking technologies to its customers. The company designs Investment Recovery programs that monetizes prior network assets of customers to fund investments in the new technology. Bartling said that such an approach to technology migration along with Vecima's array of video platforms will enable operators to meet the demand for bandwidth of customers in a manner that reduces operating costs, requires no additional capital and moderates the environmental impact of network expansion.
