MobiKwik, DT One team up to offer mobile recharge services worldwide
It will be the first time DT One will have mobile recharge originating from India through their network
MobiKwik, an India based fintech platform, recently announced that it is partnering with DT One, a global network for mobile recharge and airtime services. According to reliable sources, MobiKwik would be able to offer mobile recharge services in more than 150 countries across over 550 mobile operators. This announcement indicates MobiKwik’s expansion into the international market.
Apparently, MobiKwik’s international services is now live across more than 150 countries in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, Europe, Caribbean, Latin America and the United States, that enables users to recharge any mobile number across the global network of DT One of over 550 operators. Seemingly, it will be the first time DT One will have mobile recharge originating from India through their network and not to India from the other country.
Co-Founder of MobiKwik, Upasana Taku commented on the partnership and said that the company is consistently adding value to their existing offers for the customers even if its just a mobile recharge from home for people coming to India for studies or work. This feature will show the power of connectivity at one’s fingertips to immigrants in India from all over the world, travelers and students who are studying abroad.
DT One APAC’s EVP, Krishnadeep Baruah said that the aim of the company is to make digital communications more accessible to everyone and helping them to stay connected.
Sources mentioned the partnership will be convenient for Indian travelers going abroad and especially the ones who travel frequently for business and own a long term pre-paid sim of the country they visit. They can recharge it from their homes before they leave for the country via MobiKwik wallet with an advantage of doing it in the Indian currency.
MobiKwik, founded in 2009, has raised close to $120 million in four round of funding by investors like Net1 and American Express.
