MG Motor India has reportedly teamed up with CamCom to facilitate AI-enabled inspection of vehicles sent for repair and services at the automaker’s service centers.
The company further aims to save operational time and offer better transparency to the customers using an artificial intelligence-powered vehicle inspection solution. This collaboration will also help in introducing the customers to the latest AI-oriented inspection modules.
Confirming the news, Gaurav Gupta, the Chief Commercial Officer at MG Motor India was quoted saying that this partnership is a valuable addition to the firm’s bouquet of technologies. MG Motor always looks forward to integrating futuristic technologies in every aspect of car development, Gupta claimed.
It is worth mentioning that CamCom had conducted a pilot project the previous year which was a part of the MG Developer Program and Grant. It was essentially an innovation platform to motivate developers to build advanced applications and experiences for vehicles.
Through the program, the automaker has succeeded in letting at least 184 entrepreneurs demonstrate their innovative ideas so far. It has also provided a platform to other startups from the field of connected mobility, navigation technology, vehicles, and components among others.
Meanwhile, CamCom co-founder Ajith Nayar stated that this deal is indeed the automobile industry’s first step towards revolutionizing customer service by bringing transparency into the whole vehicle serving process.
Earlier this year MG Motor also joined hands with Noida-based Attero aiming at recycling electric vehicle batteries in the country. Both these firms will work together to make room for Li-ion batteries used in ZS EV which will be then recycled and reused following the end of their service life.
