MediaTek, an international fabless semiconductor firm, has released the Dimensity 9000+ mobile platform. According to credible reports, smartphones installed with the latest platform will be available by the third quarter of 2022.
As per sources, the Dimensity 9000+ combines Arm’s v9 CPU architecture with a 4nm octa-core processor offering nearly 5 per cent boost in the performance of CPU and more than 10 per cent enhancement in GPU performance.
Reportedly, the ultra-Cortex X2 works at up to 3.2GHz, extended from the 3.05 gigahertz of Dimensity 9000. The new platform also comprises of 4 efficiency Cortex-A510 cores and 3 super Cortex-A710 cores integrated with the graphics processor- Arm Mali-G710 MC10.
The other hardware parameters of the new product are almost the same as Dimensity 9000. The advanced version features only small changes, unlike the major change like upgradation to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
According to reports, Dimensity 9000+ backs LPDDR5X memory operation at 7500Mbps. Its flagship image signal processor of 18-bit HDR-ISP supports real-time triple camera 18-bit high-definition video recording with a low power design.
Not to mention, the advanced product also supports FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 180Hz and WQHD+ with a 144Hz resolution. The audio and wireless technology in Dimensity 9000+ features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technology with less delays, consisting of WiFi 6E 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, Beidou-3 B1C GNSS and Bluetooth LEAudio.
Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager of Wireless Communication Business, MediaTek stated that building upon the success of the company’s first 5G chipset flagship, the Dimensity 9000+ offers seamless streaming, faster gameplay, and an enhanced user experience with multimedia, gaming and others.
Installed with 5th generation application processor of MediaTek and a M80 5G built-in modem, the latest platform adapts to the new generation standard of 3GPP R16 5G and backs full band network of Sub-6GHz 5G.
