L&T Tech Services inaugurates Engineering R&D Center in Krakow, Poland

L&T Technology Services (LTTS), an international pure-play engineering solutions firm has reportedly launched an Engineering, Research and Development (ER&D) center in Krakow, Poland.

As per sources, the center will serve the customers worldwide, leveraging mobility and state-of-the-art technologies in the automotive and hi-tech domains. Its services will be rendered to many major consumers in North America and Europe.

In the new center, LTTS will function on the development of both hardware and software product lines. The center is a unit of LTTS’ universal delivery model and is an extension of its Gothenburg, Munich, and Jerusalem engineering centers, enabling the latest center to bring in dedicated competencies accompanying regional talent.

Abhishek Sinha, Chief Operating Officer, LTTS stated that the center is set-up as a constituent of the growth plan in parts of eastern Europe and Europe. It will offer services in the areas of embedded technologies and high-tech.

Abhishek mentioned that the firm has chosen Poland because of their enabling government and the fact that the country is strategically apt for business and has a good talent pool.

According to reports, LLTS is seeking to tap into the regional engineering talent pool for various mission critical international programs and will function alongside local academia and administration to further expand the regional ecosystem.  

Apparently, the firm plans to bring on board nearly 300 engineers in the upcoming three years for the center.

It will also use the internal Global Engineering Academy to allow workers to upskill and reskill their domain knowledge and align it with customer needs, while exploring collaboration prospects with Krakow University of Technology, AGH University Krakow, and UK-centric Coventry University to widen the engineering talent pool n Poland.

At present, the center is spread across an area of 1500 square meters and can house 16 to 170 people. Sinha stated that the firm will begin the expansion of the center and invest in innovation laboratories at the center as its firm’s strategy.
