Avid has reportedly unveiled new Avid NEXIS^® | Cloudspaces which powers Avid NEXIS storage systems with cloud. Avid NEXIS | Cloudspaces free up the storage and takes stress out of media management. It provides users instant access to more storage when needed. The debut of Avid NEXIS | Cloudspaces, as disclosed at Connect 2019, will be made at the NAB Show in Avid’s booth.

According to the press release by Avid Technology, Avid NEXIS | Cloudspaces is a Storage as a Service (SaaS) storage offering. It allows sports, news and post-production teams to safely store media in the cloud. It uses the power of Microsoft Azure and free up local space for uninterrupted production.

Dana Ruzicka, Chief Product Officer and Senior Vice President, Avid, reportedly said that Avid NEXIS | Cloudspaces provides an efficient and cost-effective way to organizations for reliable backup and media parking in cloud. Avid Nexis, working with Microsoft, will offer its users a limited-time free offer of 2 terabytes of Microsoft Azure storage, he further added.

With Avid NEXIS | Cloudspaces, users will be able to store media and can benefit from Avid NEXIS’s robust workspace management and user access controls with the flexibility and scale of the cloud. The users can sync and park data safely, and offload projects which are currently not in production.

With easy activation and auto-provisioning service, users will be able to gain better workflow and cost efficiency. It also extends its storage directly to Microsoft Azure to benefit users from hyper-scale storage and network capacity of Azure.
